    • THE STORY
  • Designed and manufactured custom parts then assembled this rifle myself. Gas port at +4.0" down the barrel - .096".
    Gas tube mfr'd from AR15 tubes (2) silver soldered together w/ steel coupling.
    Standard M-16 / AR15 buffer/spring - 100% function so far.
    Currently using the Douglas barrel, but will probable upgrade to a Schneider or Krieger. However the accuracy from this barrel has been superb - just waiting on better temps to go back to 600.


    • THE RESULTS
  • Loads - no real development done yet - but the first 5-shot group from the rifle was .870". This was with 32.0 grs. of Varget, 107 SMK (bare), Win brass, Fed 210M primers. Bullets were seated .020" off for initial safety and pressure concerns (2.680 OAL). Velocity should be about 2800 - 2840fps I need to tweak the load and seating depth for max performance.
    Single shot mag - mine, converted 5 rd M14. Mfr'd a single shot follower from Delrin and meets the offhand / palm rest rule.
    All other mags were highly tuned up, deburred, smoothed clean, DFL applied, springs tweaked, plungers polished & case hardened, plunger springs replaced etc.
    Using McFarland gas rings - same as on all my M-16 NM rifles - never ever had a problem with them.
    Ejector tuned to give me a nice little pile at 2 o'clock
    Rifle balances on Mag well. Overall weight is 15.5lbs
